EightyThree is a Revision control system. Software that watches changes in your documents. Allowing you to keep track of the evolution of a file. EightyThree allows you to compare different versions of a file.

Plugin icon What do I need to run EightyThree?

Well you need :

EightyThree currently uses mySQL. However, it can be installed on the following systems.


  • - mSQL
  • - PostgreSQL
  • - Sybase
  • - Microsoft SQL Server
  • - ODBC
  • - Oracle

The SQL systems listed above have not been tested as yet. Please proceed at your own risk.

You can also use EightyThree on your local machine.
You need to install WAMP Server (Windows) or MAMP (Mac).

Its absolutely free. EightyThree is released as Open Source Software under the GPL Licence.

Star icon Who started this all?

Craig Spurrier did a simple revision control system called ASCVS. We came across is, loved it and began our own little tweaking of it here and there. Now we'd like to share those tweaks with the world and asking the world to continue tweaking. Maybe it'll come in handy to some one out there.
